May 31 evening, Beijing Language and Culture University Confucius Institute scholarship students “The Belt and Road: My Dream·Chinese Dream” large-scale theme speech contest was held in the Yifu lecture hall.
This “The Belt and Road: My Dream·Chinese Dream” large-scale keynote speech contest got strong support from all the departments and training units. The 11 players from the finalists came from seven countries, and they showed not only a superb Chinese level but also a deep understanding of the Chinese language and Chinese culture.
The preparations for this lecture contest took months, and the contestants were the winners of the essay competition, with the theme of “the Confucius Institute on the Silk Road”, organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters. They showed the best of the Confucius Institute Scholarship students in the final stage. This was the third session of the Confucius Institute Scholarship students’ keynote speech context since 2014. This event had become a brand event for the Confucius Institute Scholarship students of BLCU, and had set up a platform for the Confucius Institute Scholarship students to tell the story of their Chinese learning path. Through this platform, the finalists from along the “Belt and Road” countries look forward to the “Belt and Road”, give lectures about their path of learning Chinese and Chinese culture, about their own Chinese dream.
