Confucius Institute at UCSC Successfully Held Chinese Cultural Experience Activities

On the morning of May 22, four teachers from the Confucius Institute at l'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore went to Domalani went to Domalani high school to hold a Chinese cultural experience activity. A total of about 150 students took part in it. The activity was divided into two parts: calligraphy and paper cutting.

At 9:00 a.m., the calligraphy activity officially began, with teacher Zhang Lu giving a lecture. Teacher Zhang first introduced the relevant knowledge of calligraphy and the correct posture of holding a pen. Afterwards, the students began to write calligraphy by themselves under the guidance and demonstration of the teacher.

Calligraphy activities ended around 11 o'clock. Then, the paper-cutting activity officially began. Under the guidance of the teacher's demonstration, the students carefully painted on the paper and carefully cut it. An hour later, the students cut out lovely pandas and beautiful double happiness. Before the end of the activity, the students were still excited. The teacher gave the students a 20 % cut-away drawing of window decorations, hoping that they would extend the joy beyond the class. The activity ended around 1 p.m. and was welcomed by students. Teachers and students in the Confucius classroom in Domalani expressed their thanks to the four teachers.
