On August 24, flags of worldwide countries waved in breeze in the boulevard of Beijing Language and Culture University, the campus was filled with joy and peace. The “Mini United Nations” welcomed the 2016 grade Chinese undergraduate freshmen. This year, BLCU admitted a total of 1150 undergraduate freshmen through 13 admission categories, covering 31 provinces (cities, districts) and Hong Kong and Macao.

Themed in “Step into University, Appreciate Your Teachers”, this year’s campus orientation activities organized a series of special education activities. One is “fish jump into dragon gate” online fun quiz, including “admission notice”, university history and conditions and other contents. Students can get the baby fish mascot and other souvenirs as soon as they completed the quiz. This activity is entertaining and also helps students learn about BLCU quickly. The second is “appreciation to your middle school teachers” activity, we designed beautiful poster with fish jump into dragon gate as background, invite freshmen to take photos, write what they want to say to their middle school teachers, print into beautiful cards and send to their teachers before the Day of Teachers.

“Around the country, baby fish have gathered in BLCU; thoroughly tempered, BLCUers break into the world”. BLCU will be a new starting point for “baby fish” and let’s wish them have a good time in BLCU in the next four years.
