In the afternoon of September 2, the third Chile global seminar was held at Yifu Stadium in our university. This seminar is one of the important activities of the “Chilean Cultural Week”, with the cultural and academic exchanges in Chile as the theme, including the intellectual development strategy, China and Chile’s education, cultural and academic exchanges and other issues.

In the opening ceremony, Principal Cui Xiliang pointed out in his speech that “true friends cannot be stopped by distance, even thousands of miles apart people can become good neighbors”. Despite the distance between China and Chile, the relationship has been very close, we have in-depth cooperation and exchanges in the economic, trade and cultural fields. Beijing Language and Culture University as an important force of foreign cultural and educational exchanges, will uphold the “virtue of speech, harmonious world” motto, actively participate in intellectual cultural exchanges. He hoped that the third Chile global seminar will build a new bridge of cooperation between China and Chile.

This seminar shows the fruitful cooperation achievements in bilateral cultural and economic exchanges and many other fields from two aspects of intellectual development strategy and Chinese Chile education, cultural and academic exchanges, and also make each other’s heart closer. In the process of this event, our university enhanced the international influence and set up a platform for international cooperation and exchanges for our teachers and students.
