From June 11 to 12, the Romania Sibiu Weiqi Contest was held in Sibiu vitality go school. In order to promote the Chinese culture and promote cultural exchanges, Sibiu Confucius Institute, Romanian hosted the tournament.

The contest has been welcomed by the Romania weiqi enthusiasts and attracted thirty-six players from seven different cities. Five-year-old Tudor Cristian from Sibiu Trudy was the youngest player of the competition and he began to study weiqi under the guidance of his mother. When asked about what was his wish, Tudor told the Confucius Institute teacher very shyly that he wanted to go to China and played weiqi with Chinese children together.

After two days of intense game, the contest closed successfully. Since the establishment of the Confucius Institute in Sibiu, it is committed to expanding the various channels to create a variety of platforms to promote Chinese culture and this game is undoubtedly a useful attempt.
