At the evening of March 28，the actor Liu Xiao Ling Tong who is well-known for his critically acclaimed portrayal of Sun Wukong in the 1986 Journey to the West TV series, came to BLCU and gave a lecture in Room209, Teaching Building1.
The hall was full of students and the scene is passionate.At his arrival,there comes a burst of a warm applause in the room. Liu Xiao Ling Tong was born Zhang Jinlai on April 12, 1959 in Shanghai into a renowned artistic family. He gained international fame thanks to his starring role as Sun Wukong in the 1986 adaptation of Journey to the West. His compelling performance, which was greatly praised by critics, helped him capture the title of Best Actor at the Sixth Golden Eagle Prize, the highest honour in the TV production industry in China.
In the lecture he said his nowaday activities mostly focuses on promoting monkey culture.Zhang also expressed his concern over recent Sun Wukong portrayals.
In the last part of the lecture, Zhang gave a brilliant monkey performance ,and gained a great acclaim from the audience once again.
