This September of 2012, Beijing Language and Culture University will celebrate its 50th anniversary. On the occasion of the festival, BLCU publicity department, Youth League committee and department of journalism together will hold a photography and DV contest.

All students and teachers are welcome to participate in this centest.

The collecting of works has started in March, and the cut off date for the cellection of this competition is set at July1, 2012. Then, all works will be analyzed and judged in July. The award ceremony will be held in September.

The contest is devided by 2 parts: Photography and DV. All works should be related to BLCU and study life,working life or daily life in BLCU. Foreign students in BLCU and Confucius Institute can take their Chinese learning and life in China as the main theme.

The requirements for photoes entering the Contest are as follows:

There is no limit on the number of photos you hand on;

Both single photograph and photograph grouping are ok.Negative films, reversible films and digital ones are all ok;

Photographs can be enlarged to 10 inches, if it is a square photograph, make it 8x8 inches;

Photoes are not allowed to do the mounting;

The title and name of author must be indicated at the back of the work;

Brief introduction of the author , contact information ( zip code , mailing address , email address , phone number ) must be provided.

The requirements for DV entering the Contest are:

Documentaries, feature films, television news works , multimedia works , television, literary and artistic works , music videos , TV commercials, experimental short films are all ok;

Movie length: 3-10 minutes;

Format: avi ;

Works shall be submitted in form of CD disk;

Brief introduction of the author , contact information ( zip code , mailing address , email address , phone number ) must be provided.
