In the evening of May 17, Beijing Language and Culture University Confucius Institute large-scale theme speech contest finals “My Dream and the China – Peace” and awards ceremony was held in the Shaw stadium. As one of the twelve anniversary activities of the Confucius Institute, the speech contest was highly valued by the Confucius Institute Headquarters/ Hanban and school leaders.

   11 contestants from ten countries attended the finals and they showed their fluent Chinese in the speech. The Indonesian contestant talked about his hope to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia and becoming a peace messenger through learning Chinese. Korean player talked about his dream of becoming a great singer, in his eyes the great was not the ostentatious vanity, but something really touched people’s hearts and spread love.

   The judges affirmed all contestants in their fluent Chinese ability and praised the BLCU style they have shown.
