In the morning of April 21, as the 21th “World Book Day” was approaching, BLCU Chinese and foreign students and teachers gathered in the library to attend the launching ceremony of the fourth “Reading Season” series of activities of BLCU.

    Secretary Li Yuming said at the ceremony that as an international university, BLCU carried inheritance and innovation of the Chinese language and culture. Reading classics is an indispensable part of campus culture. In order to understand the origin of the progress of human civilization, to believe in truth, goodness, beauty and all good values, we have to read classics. Secretary Li hoped that the “Reading Season” could help teachers and students to form a good habit, make reading a life attitude, a life belief, advocate reading in BLCU and taste the classic campus culture.

    The series of activities of “Reading Season” will further strengthen excellent traditional Chinese culture education under the new situation, help Chinese and foreign teachers and students to study in-depth of the important classics of ancient Chinese culture, understand the essence of the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
