On March 20, hosted by the Confucius Institute headquarters / Hanban and the Government Education and Training Department of Victoria State of Australian, undertaken by the College of Intensive Chinese Studies of Beijing Language and Culture University, the opening ceremony of 2016 “Chinese Bridge-Australian High School Spring Camp” was held in BLCU.

    The Dean of College of Intensive Chinese Studies Liu Changzheng said in his speech, “Read thousands of books, travel thousands of miles”, we have to experience Chinese culture, discover and understand the real China in Chinese learning and share what we have felt and saw in China with relatives and friends.

    After the opening ceremony, 42 students will not only learn Chinese language courses, attend Chinese historical culture lectures, experience traditional Chinese culture in the next two weeks, but also visit the Palace Museum, the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and other places of interest in depth.

    The project will last for six weeks, 2016 “Chinese Bridge-Australian High School Spring Camp” is only the section of Beijing trip and they will then travel to Shanghai and Nanjing, complete the next around language learning and cultural experience task. The two sides are looking forward to further cooperation in the future.
