In the afternoon of January 6, the 2016 spring graduation ceremony and academic degree awarding ceremony was held in Beijing Language and Culture University. 174 graduates from 28 different countries and regions were dressed in gowns and received a degree. This marks the successful completion of their studies in BLCU and they are about to embark on a new journey.

    President Cui Xiliang expressed heartfelt congratulations and good wishes to the graduates on behalf of the university, and he hoped that the graduates would remember the motto of BLCU “Virtue of Speech, a World of Harmony”, to contribute to promote world peace and development, and to promote the mutual understanding between the civilized world; to be of perseverance, to be indomitable and unafraid to challenge and difficulties, always keep optimistic attitude towards life; to learn for a life-long time, and make efforts to transform the knowledge into social service ability.

     174 graduates participated in this year’s spring graduation and degree awarding ceremony, 169 students get a degree and their distributed in our international political and ideological, political education, linguistics and applied linguistics, English language and literature, Chinese international education five postgraduate majors and Chinese language, Chinese international education, German, painting, international politics, journalism, translation seven undergraduate majors. Among them, 160 foreign students graduated and 154 people get a degree; 7 Chinese students graduate and 8 people receive a bachelor’s degree; 7 Chinese and foreign students graduate and get a master’s degree.
