On September 22, President Cui Xiliang went to Yunnan Lincang to inaugurate the Beijing Language and Culture University “One Road One Belt” Research Institute (southwest) and Beijing Language and Culture University College of Chinese Language and Culture (southwest).

　　President Cui Xiliang said that as the academic center for Chinese and foreign languages and cultures study and cradle for senior foreign talents training, BLCU has the responsibility and obligation, ability to cultivate more and more excellent talents in language and culture for “One Road One Belt” and meet the needs of the nation and society. BLCU has begun “One Road One Belt” national language and culture research and the established the Chinese surrounding languages and cultures collaborative innovation Center.

　　President Cui Xiliang said that cooperation between the two universities need to explore the new cooperation mode, he hoped to take this inauguration as a starting point and gradually construct the Research Institute and the College of Chinese language and culture as the scientific research base, language teaching and talent training base and mentor to help the enterprises social service base with a certain influence on the “One Road One Belt”, providing intelligence and talents support for the implementation of the national strategy of “One Road One Belt”.

　　Our university will combine related disciplines construction of Chinese international education with “One Road One Belt” strategy, support the development of western education, broaden our teaching field and expand our influence in Southeast Asia and the southwest region of China.
