Recently, the director of the Confucius Institute headquarters / Hanban / the counselor of the State Council Xu Lin visited BLCU and guided the work.

　　Xu Lin first explained the place of the Confucius Institute in the national development strategy, expressed that Hanban will fully support the center to become strong, hoped that the center will increase the intensity of cultivating foreign local teachers and promoted the sustainable development of Confucius Institute in the new ten years. In the subsequent discussion, Xu Lin focused on the construction of the think tank of Confucius Institute. She noted that the construction should be based on the purpose of objectivity and forefront, take the organic combination of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the university representatives as the top-level design, the practical problems solving as the basic principle, the cooperative spirit as the concept, the innovative ability as dependence, to use the think tank to speak good Chinese story, write good Chinese articles. She hoped that BLCU can establish such a think tank that can promote the sustainable development of the Confucius Institute in support of the headquarters.
