September 14 to 20 is the week of eighteenth session of the national promotion of Putonghua, the theme of this year’s event is “To Promote Putonghua and Enhance Chinese Soft Power”. This year is the15th year since National Common Language Law promulgated and implemented. This year Putonghua promotion week focused on “have a full understanding of the legal status of the national common language, have the accurate grasp of the important duty of the language laws and regulations given, carry forward the patriotism spirit and revolutionary tradition”.

　　Through the series of lectures organized by our university in Putonghua promotion week, we aim to full implement the state laws, regulations and policies of national languages, vigorously promote and regulate the use of the national common language, to enhance the capacity of the national language, carry forward the socialist core values and the Chinese excellent traditional culture, enhance the national cultural soft power.
