In June 19th, the finals of Sixth Chinese Star of Beijing Foreign Students Contest were held successfully in Beijing TV station. Our Vietnamese student Fan Qingling and Portuguese student Pei Jiajun won the competition and became the “Top Ten Chinese Stars” of Beijing foreign students this year.

　　The Chinese star final tournaments have comprehensively reformed and upgraded than before, the three rounds Chinese impromptu speech, Chinese knowledge vies to answer first, Chinese micro debate are interlocked. The whole recording of the events of Beijing TV station puts forward a double test for Chinese language level and psychological quality of the players. The first round of the finals is impromptu speech and the judges gave a high praise to the two players of our university. The second round is the Chinese knowledge vies to answer first, Fan Qingling successfully promoted ahead of schedule by virtue of his excellent ability to respond and profound knowledge reserve, locking the Chinese star into capsule. Although Pei Jiajun made a little errors and lost direct promotion places, in the third round of Chinese micro debate, by virtue of his outstanding eloquence, rigorous logical thinking and strong psychological quality, he received favors from 30 representatives of public jury in Beijing colleges and universities and eventually won the “Top Ten Chinese Stars” title with Fan Qingling.

　　Through this contest, Beijing Language and Culture University international students show superb Chinese level, deep cultural heritage and excellent comprehensive quality, and firm and optimistic, calm and confident youth style, fully reflects the international student’ level of Chinese language teaching and educational philosophy of our university.
