In the afternoon of April 10th, BLCU invited professor William Tecumseh Fitch from Vienna University of Austria as guest professor and the ceremony was held in new comprehensive building room 707. The Vice President of BLCU Cao Zhiyun attended the event and delivered speech.
In order to establish the international linguistics office, the School of Linguistic Science planned to invite a group of world famous linguistics to give lectures in BLCU and carry a series of scientificcooperation. William Tecumseh Fitch, professor of cognitive life sciences and brain neuro is one of them. William Tecumseh Fitch received doctoral degree on Cognition and Linguistic Science in Brown University of America in 1994, and engaged in the post-doctoral research in MIT and Harvard from 1996 to 1999, and has held the post of Biology Professor in Vienna University, Austria since 2009.
The joining of professor William Tecumseh Fitch is of great significance in strengthening BLCU's cooperation with the world linguistic circle and in extending the academic influence of BLCU.
