The Prize Giving Ceremony of the third National Linguistics Olympiad was held at BLCU
On March 22, The Prize Giving Ceremony of the third National Linguistics Olympiad was held at Beijing Language and Culture University Shaw Auditorium. 45 first prize winners and 5 bronze linguistics student ambassadors and 23 outstanding linguistics tutors, were invited to attend the ceremony. 8 best players singled out in this race will represent China at attending the 2014 International Linguistics Olympiad hosted in Beijing Language and Culture University in July.
At the ceremony, the outstanding winners shared their feelings of participating the competition with teachers and students, and talked about how they become connected with linguistics. The first prize winner, bronze linguistics student ambassador Chan Yun from Hangzhou Foreign Language School described how his love for cryptography become a deep understanding of linguistics, and his sincere speech got many applauses. When the contest came into the free sharing phase, students enthusiastically came to the stage and talked about their home, about their understanding of linguistics and about what they have harvested in the contest.
