On April 2,President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a presidential decree, which appointedMassimov as the new Prime Minister. From September 1988 to June 1989, Massimov was learning Chinese in our school, and then entered the National Law School of Wuhan University and Kazakhstan NationalManagement College, learning economics and international law, and received a doctorate in economics.
Massimov once was senior economistof Kazakhstan Ministry of Labour, expert of Foreign Trade andEconomic Office in Urumqi, China, Executive Manager of Kazakhstan trading house in Hong Kong, president of Trade Finance Bank in Almaty and Kazakhstan People's Savings Bank, Minister of Transportation Communications, deputy Prime Minister and presidential adviser. January 2006, Massimov took up the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan government. During April 2006 and January 2007, he was deputy prime minister and minister of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning. From January 2007 to September 2012, he served as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. He knew English, Chinese, Kazakh, Russian and Arabic.
