BLCU “Language and Culture Around China Collaborative Innovation Center ” was Officially Inaugurated

　　On November 11 afternoon, BLCU “Language and Culture Around China Collaborative Innovation Center ” was officially inaugurated. The center took “keep good neighborhood and protect the frontiers” as the fundamental mission, and would strive to build itself into a world- class level of language and culture around China research center, language and culture around China training base, diplomatic and security support systems for China around, and build a national language strategy think tank through building four major projects, nine tasks and dozen of supporting platforms.

　　BLCU “Language and Culture Around China Collaborative Innovation Center ” was based on “Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance on the implementation of the program of promoting innovative capacity of universities," and the requirements of “for urgent national need, world-class, advanced systems and outstanding contributions”. It meant to base on our own strengths, combine several units together, and unite the technology research and development, language studies, cultural transmission and other unique advantages of resources through innovative institutional mechanisms to get the maximum aggregate effect. The center was led by the Beijing Language and Culture University, and co-participated by Languages Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Central University for Nationalities, Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Commercial Press, Anhui USTC iFLYTEK Co., Ltd., Tibet University, Xinjiang University, Shihezi University, Inner Mongolia University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and overseas Confucius Institutes.
