The Eighth Series Lecturing of Chinese Culture in English was Began
September 25 afternoon, the eighth lecture of “Series Lecturing of Chinese Culture in English” was began. There would be a total of nine lectures this semester, and the first lecture was “the Influence of Confucianism on Contemporary China”, given by professor Ning Yizhong of Foreign Languages College.
To enable foreign students break through the restrictions of language level, and promote cultural exchanges, Office of Academic Affairs opened a series of lectures of Chinese Culture in English, uniting Foreign Languages College, Chinese Languages College, English education centers and other teaching units and making full use of the advantages of high-level English teacher. Since the the first phase in the autumn of 2009, there have been seven phases 65 lectures. Lectures involved in Chinese history, literature, philosophy, art, culture and many other areas. The cumulative audience were about 5,000 people, and all the lectures were videoed by the audio-visual center.
