On May 10th, the Founding Conference of Alumni Association was hosted BLCU. President Cui Xiliang, the school deputy party secretary Huo Mingjie, vice-president Cao Zhiyun, Qi Dexiang and Dong Lijun and the former party secretary Wang Lujiang attended the conference.
President Cui Xiliang addressed that the alumni association offered a platform for the BLCU alumni to communicate with each other, get information of BLCU, and contribute to the development of BLCU. He also asked the alumni association to work hard to organize the alumni both domestically and internationally, making them feel a sense of belonging, and feel like at home.
The conference adopted and approved Regulations of BLCU Alumni Association, established a BLCU Alumni Association Council and elected its members, honorary chairman, chairman,vice-chairman, secretary-general and deputy secretary general.
The elected chairman Wang Lujiang expressed that the alumni association should actively do the following four things well. Firstly, with the aim of “Serve the alumni, Sever BLCU, Serve the society”, make the alumni association a warm home, a tie link the the alumni and BLCU, and a platform for communication and cooperation; secondly, construct the alumni association organization well; thirdly, launch activities which can promote friendship between alumni; fourthly, manage alumni’s information well.
Victor, the 1976 student from Venezuela and famous international designer, and Ma Jizhi, the 1988 graduate of Arabic major and the general manager of Beijing Jinma Changcheng Real Estate Construction Co., LTD, made a speech in the conference representing foreign alumni and Chinese alumni respectively.
