On November 17, 2018 Japan National and Regional Research Forum and the 2nd Beijing Language and Culture University Japan Research Center Academic Seminar were held in Beijing Language and Culture University. The forum was hosted by the Japanese Research Center in Beijing Language and Culture University.

In his speech at the forum, Professor Rowling explained the practical significance and development prospects of national and regional studies and gave methodological guidance in combination with Japan's national studies. Professor Rowe pointed out the important role of full national and regional studies to all sectors of society, expecting the Japanese Research Center in Beijing Language and Culture University to flourish and wishing this seminar a complete success.

Experts at the meeting stressed that although relations between China and Japan have developed to a certain extent in recent years, they have also experienced many twists and turns, but there are still some problems to be solved. Beijing Language and Culture University Japan Research Center’s exploration in the country and region not only promoted Japan’s research, but also strengthened the cultural exchanges between the two countries to a certain extent, helping the two countries to increase mutual trust and boost cooperation and win-win solution.
