On the afternoon of June 18, the pre-job training graduation ceremony for Chinese volunteer teachers from Confucius Institutes working in the United States and Ukraine in 2019 was successfully held at 209, teaching building No.1 of Beijing Language and Culture University.

During the 39-day immersion training, the teacher training center of Confucius Institute in Beijing Language and Culture University set up training courses of various forms, rich contents and high intensity for the trainees according to the national realities, teaching objectives and professional levels of the country where they came to work. In addition to the professional teaching training, aiming at the teaching practice objectives and difficulties, the trainees are carefully designed with trial practice, interactive discussion, planning and demonstration activities, and traditional Chinese medicine cultural experience classes and other links. The average age of Chinese volunteers going to the United States and Ukraine in 2019 is only 24 years old, and nearly 80% of them are master students. Through this training, BLCU has once again sent a batch of youth to the posts of Chinese teacher in Confucius Institute, adding a youthful smile to the stage of Chinese teaching in Confucius Institute. In the future, BLCU will continue to contribute to the promotion of exchanges and cooperation in Chinese education and the promotion of mutual understanding among the people of the world.
