On July 2, the Confucius institute headquarters/Han Ban held a grand opening ceremony of pre-service training for Chinese volunteer teachers going to Russian-speaking countries, European and Asian countries in 2018 in Beijing Language and Culture University.
Relying on the characteristic training theories and methods, BLCU carefully designed a series of pre-service training for the Chinese volunteer teachers who go to Russian and Eurasia countries. This pre-job training is demand-oriented, with the concept and mechanism of “input – output” running through the whole process to maximize the effectiveness of training. In addition to the improvement of teaching skills, BLCU also pays attention to the education of ideals and beliefs and takes many measures to lead volunteers to internalize “three senses and three emotions” and externalize them in practice. This training not only focuses on teaching-type special courses, but also arranges pre-job research questions and recommends self-study tutoring materials for the trainees, so that students can become active and passive. On the basis of self-study and mutual learning, knowledge and skills can be further improved through interaction between teachers and students. Through workshop+Inverted Classroom, task-driven learning can realize high-performance output. During the training process, BLCU brought forth new ideas in brand activities and created unique cultural experiences through a series of “BLCU features”.
