On February 22, a seminar on the cultivation of innovative talents in Chinese universities and a releasing conference on the 2014-2018 national university discipline competition rankings were held. The evaluation screened 34 competition items for inclusion in the ranking, and the computer design competition for Chinese college students hosted by our Beijing Language and Culture University was included in the ranking.

The Chinese College Students Computer Design Contest in Micro Film, was co-organized by China Association of Higher Education and Ministry of Education Institution of Higher Learning Teaching Guidance Committee of Computer and other units, and was undertaken by Beijing Language and Culture University. The Chinese College Students Computer Design Contest in Micro Film provides a platform for college students from all over the country to improve themselves by contacting and learning from each other. It has been four years since BLCU held the finals of the Chinese College Students Computer Design Contest in Micro Film, which has explored and established the basic pattern of "carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture".

Over the years, BLCU has attached great importance to giving full play to the role of discipline competitions in personnel training. It insists on promoting education through competition, learning through competition, and innovation through competition. It has implanted correct outlook on life, values, and quality into discipline competitions. It has actively constructed an organic integration of competition and teaching, competition and "mass entrepreneurship and innovation ", competition and industry-university cooperation, and has continuously promoted the high-quality development of students' innovative education.
