On the morning of September 11, BLCU President Liu Li met with a delegation of six persons from Krirk University, Thailand and Boren University.
President Liu Li said Thailand is an important member of ASEAN countries and has a long history of friendly cooperation with China. The cooperation between the two sides in the field of higher education is very close, and a large number of talents have been trained for the two countries to serve the society. BLCU attaches great importance to cooperation with Thai universities. It has already established inter-school cooperation relations with several well-known Thai universities and carried out joint student training programs to provide support for training local Chinese talents in Thailand. BLCU has also set up an admissions office in Bangkok, and hopes to open up new schools in China in the future to meet the needs of more students from ASEAN countries to learn Chinese. He hoped that the two sides would cooperate with the two universities in the fields of student exchanges, short-term study tours, joint training, teacher exchanges, Thai courses and academic research, strengthen two-way exchanges and achieve substantial results.
Professor Yang Jinquan, former Thai Education Minister and current president of Krirk University, fully affirmed the position of BLCU in Chinese colleges and universities and its contribution to the development of Sino-foreign friendship. He hopes to carry out all-round cooperation with BLCU within the framework of " the belt and road initiative".
The two sides also held extensive exchanges on such topics as the innovation and entrepreneurship of university students, the establishment of the BLCU Academy, the launching of the China - ASEAN Summer Camp for Youth Leaders, and Thai students coming to study in BLCU.
