In the afternoon of Nov. 17, our university held an appointment ceremony to invite Professor Deepak of Nehru University of India to be a visiting professor.

Professor Deepak is now a professor and doctoral tutor of Nehru Center for Chinese and Southeast Asian Studies, Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has a good command of Sino-Indian relations. He is mainly engaged in the study of Sino-Southeast Asian and Sino-Indian relations, also has a lot of achievements in the field, has contributed to the cause of cultural exchanges between China and India and international popularity of Chinese books.

Professor Deepak said he was very willing to undertake the work of the messenger of Sino-Indian cultural exchanges and hoped that more people would devote themselves to promoting the mutual understanding between China and India.
