On October 25, the 2016 “Chinese Bridge - Australian High School Autumn Camp” hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban and the Australian Victorian Government Education and Training Department held the grand closing ceremony at the Confucius Institute Headquarters.

Ms. Huang Kaixin, Project Officer of International Education Department of Victorian Government Education and Training Division said that the future of youth is the future of the world. This project not only allows students to improve their Chinese language in exchange study, but also forges a close friendly relationship between China and Australia and promotes the development of friendship between China and Australia. Speaking on behalf of the School of the Advanced Chinese Learning, Prof. Zhan Can shares some interesting and touching stories happened in Chinese class, and shows great joy and congratulation for the great progress they have made in Chinese learning in a very short time. Australian teacher representative Micheal Harvey says in a two-week trip to Beijing, he witnessed the progress and growth of students, not only improving their language skills, but also enhancing their self-confidence and understanding of China.

Finally, the students’ wonderful performance brought the ceremony to the climax. The students did not have performing tools, Chinese is the only medium in which they show their achievements and convey their minds. Everyone present is not hesitate to gave their most enthusiastic and sincere applause to this group of sunshine, young, and smart students.
