Recently, BLCU held a special office work to focus on how to implement the promotion of the world first-class university and first-class discipline (referred to as the “two first-class”) construction work.

　　The meeting held that the “two first-class” construction scheme is a major strategic decision made by the state in the field of higher education. It is of great significance to enhance the comprehensive strength of China’s higher education and enhance the core competitiveness of the country. We should seriously think and plan, actively seek, further identify the target positioning, make clear the strategic direction, break through the bottle neck of the short board, exploring the way of world first-class language university of China characteristics with greater determination, wider vision and more powerful initiatives.
