Milan Confucius Institute Held Contemporary

  In October 24, invited by the Confucius Institute of Italy Milan Sacred Heart Catholic University, several contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy masters were invited to bring their works and set up exhibition there. This is an important station for Chinese ink painting and calligraphy walk into the community and the campus after the end of the Chinese Pavilion international art exchange project – “Inheritance and Evolution - Ink Rhyme Milan World Expo Art Exhibition”.

  The exhibition manager of this Ink rhyme Milan World Expo Professor Yin Chengjun of BLCU showed the characteristics and significance of this exhibition in the preface to this exhibition. She said in her speech, the World Expo art exhibition take ink works of Chinese and foreign artists in different periods as the clue to highlight the classical heritage to the modern evolution of the open field of vision and open mind that the ink plays as a unique artistic language. The activity pulled down the curtain in the melodious sound of guqin played by Mr. Dong Zhilin. Mr. Dong Zhilin explained, in ancient China, lyre-playing, chess, calligraphy and painting are four fancies of men of letters, a symbol of personal culture.

  In the fast pace of urban life, the traditional culture is one way to meditate our breath, regain peace and the spirit. In the new era, traditional culture should not rest on its laurels but to inherit and carry forward under the new context and to use the traditional culture to adjust the state of mind of individuals, which is worth pondering for each person.
