On September 26, the second session of “China Festival” was held in the campus of Western Michigan University.

　　In the second global “Confucius Institute Day” and the Chinese traditional Mid -Autumn Festival, the Western Michigan University Confucius Institute took the opportunity to hold a series of amazing celebrations. On the day of the event, the students from Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo area of the United States of America experienced the rich and colorful traditional festival atmosphere of Chinese culture with “zero distance”. Through the Chinese cultural experience, wonderful theatrical performances and the city table tennis tournament, they introduced Chinese language and traditional Chinese culture to the local people, won the warm applause of the audience and showed American’s enthusiasm of learning Chinese language.

　　This “China Festival” is not only the festival that Chinese and foreign friends to gather together and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in Kalamazoo area, it is also a platform of displaying Chinese culture and attracting Americans in Chinese cultures. Through the “China Festival” and a series of activities organized by the Western Michigan University Confucius Institute, they have deepened American’s comprehension and love of China and the Chinese culture, and also expanded the influence of the Western Michigan University Confucius Institute in Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas.
