The Fifth BLCU Teacher Representatives’Congress and the Third Session of the Seventh Workers' Congress was Grandly Opened

　　On May 17, 2013, the Fifth BLCU Teacher Representatives’Congress and the Third Session of the Seventh Workers' Congress was grandly openedin Auditorium 209 of the main building. On behalf of all the teachers and students, 141 faculty members gave suggestions on building a world-class languageuniversity. Nearly a hundred of representatives of professors, representatives of democratic parties, representatives of retired cadres, representatives of foreign teachers, staff of non-government affiliated institutions, foreign and Chinese student representatives attended the meeting.

　　The theme of this conference was to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress, the Third Plenary Session of the 18thCongress andthe 16th Labor Union, andfulfill tasks brought forward at the school's eighth Party Congress. It focused on the direction and goals of the school’s development, and strive to create a new situation in the cause of the school development and realizeBLCU’s dream of building a world-class university through uniting and mobilizing all the staff to carry forward the spirit of ownership, pioneering and pragmatic innovation.
