From November 14 to 18, President Liu Li of Beijing Language and Culture University led a delegation to visit Russia at the invitation of Russia’s 7th St Petersburg International Cultural Forum.

The international cultural forum in St Petersburg, Russia, has nearly 35,000 participants and has set up more than 160 venues and hundreds of special projects. The forum has a high level and wide international influence. On this platform, Beijing Language and Culture University and Saint Petersburg State University jointly held the first Sino - Russian Language Policy Forum. As an important part of the 7th international cultural forum in St Petersburg, Russia, the forum was incorporated into the high-level exchange mechanism between China and Russia and held in the headquarters building of Russia’s National Elmitash Museum.

President Liu Li said at the first Sino - Russian Language Policy Forum that this forum can promote in-depth dialogue in the field of language education between China and Russia and strengthen mutual learning and learning of the achievements of Sino - Russian language policy. He hopes that through this forum, China and Russia can further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of language policy.
