On February 26, Confucius Institute held a cultural activity on “Chinese Fan Painting” at the Japanese cultural institution EARTHTIME Club, which was welcomed by the local citizens.

The whole activity is divided into two parts, the explanation of Chinese painting knowledge and the cultural experience of fan painting production. First of all, the keynote teacher Zhang Yawen gave a patient explanation from the characteristics, classification and appreciation of Chinese painting. Through several pictures of Chinese painting and western painting, we can intuitively get the spirit on the characteristics of Chinese painting. The inscription of poems on the paintings is also a kind of the leisure for the ancient Chinese people. Everyone followed the teacher to read ancient poems and appreciated Chinese paintings, as if at this moment they could have the same mood and resonated with the authors of poems and paintings.
