“Qin Fang Mei Lan” is based on Mei Lan Fang's classical Peking Opera selections. It selects the five classical selections and Qu Pai of the three plays including “The Imperial Concubine is Drunk”, “Farewell My Concubine” and “The Anecdotes of Taizhen”. After re-composing, it is presented in the form of performance, singing and cultural narration, so as to bring more rich artistic experience to the audience in the limited work capacity. The long-lasting performance of the guqin, combined with the original melody of the Mei Art School, complemented by elegant music such as flute and Xiao (Xiao, a vertical bamboo flute), realized the dialogue between the Mei Art School of Peking Opera and the guqin through the combination of piano and songs.
