On May 12, Kansai Gaidai University welcomed its first campus open day in 2019. The Confucius Institute at Kansai Gaidai University specially organized a unique experience activity of Chinese tea culture for high school students who came to participate in the activity.
Taking the history of Chinese tea as a guide, the lecturer introduced six kinds of Chinese tea. The students quickly grasped the characteristics of various kinds of tea and passed the test smoothly in the interactive process of guessing tea. Then, the teacher led the two students who volunteered to brew three representative tea products using a covered bowl. The classroom is filled with refreshing tea fragrance. While tasting tea, everyone, under the guidance of the teacher, practiced the cup-holding technique of “three dragons protecting the tripod” and the knocking ceremony to express gratitude, and realized the Chinese etiquette contained in Chinese tea culture. The students and their parents were immersed in the charm of Chinese tea, and they were still not satisfied until the end of the experience.
