On July 11, 21 teachers from Scotland and Ireland attended the opening ceremony of “2016 Hanban Local Overseas Chinese Language Teachers Training Project in China”, which was hosted by the school of International Chinese Teaching and Research Base of our university.

In the time of two weeks from July 11, 21 teachers from Scotland and Ireland will begin to study and live in Beijing Language and Culture University. During the time, international Chinese teaching and research base arranged the experienced teaching team according to their different backgrounds and training needs and opened basic Chinese course for them, and also designed specific training courses for the students such as Chinese tea, Chinese calligraphy, Tai Chi, singing Chinese songs etc. cultural experience course, arranged visits to the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Drum Tower, the Great Wall and other famous attractions in Beijing. Through the joint efforts of teachers and students, the local Chinese teachers in Scotland and Ireland will spend a tense and full research and life and successfully complete the task.
