From June 6 to 10, the annual European and Asian Short Film Festival was held in Washington, D.C. At the evening of 6, for the first time the film festival was kicked off in the Confucius Institute Center in the United States, Washington, DC.

George Mason University Confucius Institute participated in the event on behalf of China for many years and this year chose three excellent films to exhibit. At the evening of 6, the opening exhibition played each film of China and Germany. Through the display of contemporary social problems, they analyzed people’s different understanding on the sense of belonging given by “home”, which led to the thinking towards family and social moral and legal problems. After the film, the audience responded with enthusiasm applauses.
