Late on April 1, 2016, at the Havana Riviera theatre, a grand literary performance opened the curtains for the Sino-Latin American Culture Year in Cuba.
The opening ceremony of Sino-Latin American Culture Year in Cuba was held by Havana University Confucius Institute and a number of local arts groups. The lineup included both famous and professional local performing groups and artists and amateur teams such as Havana University Student Chorus, dance team and the Confucius Institute “Harmony Sound” chorus. The performances mixed Chinese elements and Latin American styles, had rich and colorful content with Chinese martial arts, Latin American dance, instrumental music, Chinese and Cuban songs chorus and solo etc.
At the end of the show, the crowd expressed their admiration for the actors and took photos for memorial. Enthusiastic Cuban people also took photos with the Chinese Ambassador Zhang Tuo, who had always been smiling and had cordial conversations with everyone.
