In December 8, the innovation and development work meeting of the Confucius Institute was held in Shanghai No. 2 Middle university of East China Normal University.

　　Combined with the six main points put up by director Xu Lin in the tenth general assembly of the Confucius Institute and the development of the current situation of their own, the representatives shared their opinions about the new situation for the future development of Chinese and foreign cooperation in the new model of Confucius Institute. The Assistant Principal, Chinese International Education Division Director Zhang Wangxi delivered a speech entitled “BLCU ‘One Belt and One Road’ Education Platform Construction and Cooperation”.

　　Representatives also had warm and in-depth discussions with our university representatives on the future development of the Confucius Institute platform and other major concerns, reaching a preliminary consensus on the future cooperation intention. The convening of the meeting promoted the cooperation with overseas Confucius Institutes, especially the Confucius Institutes along “One Belt and One Road” and the South Asian countries, improved the influence of our university in the global Confucius Institutes.
