In the morning of November 6, Intensive Chinese Training Institute of Chinese International Education Department successfully held the 2015 autumn “Chinese culture experience day” activity.

　　This event includes two forms: “experience” and “lecture”. The experience activities include traditional Chinese art, traditional Chinese sports and fitness, traditional Chinese diet and all together 12 items. Lectures include four themes: “Zodiac and heavenly stems and Earthly Branches”, “A Bite of China”, “traditional Chinese medical science and nourishing of life”, “Chinese opera”.

　　The activity is designed to provide students with an opportunity to close contact and experience Chinese culture, is the embodied reflection of the principle “immersion”, “experiential” of second language teaching in concrete. This kind of activity not only enriches the learning life of students, but also enhances the students’ understanding of the phenomenon of Chinese folk custom and traditional and contemporary culture. More than one hundred students from around 10 countries and regions participated in the event.
