In the afternoon of 24 June, the Israeli ambassador Mr. Ma Teng made a friendly visit to BLCU. President Cui Xiliang and Mr. Ma Teng held meetings in Comprehensive Building conference room 906.

　　President Cui Xiliang introduced to Mr. Ma Teng the current development situation of BLCU and pointed out the outstanding contributions that BLCU have made in training foreign talents for all countries in the world. President Cui also talked about the current language education and discipline construction in BLCU and the distribution and the development of the history of the Chinese language. Ambassador Ma Teng was interested in the characteristics of BLCU to take the Chinese international education as the main teaching tasks and asked the relevant situations.

　　After the talks, ambassador Ma Teng gave a lecture about the situation of Israel in Yifu Building for teachers and students of BLCU. This lecture was the first station of “The Book Road” large-scale public welfare activity “Enter the Campus - the Ambassador and You Read Together” jointly hosted by BLCU and “Global Times”, this activity has got the support from the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office and Foreign Languages School.
