On 28th May, the Conférence Internationale permanente d’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes (CIUTI) was held in Moscow, and the Beijing Language and Culture University’s application to join the agency was unanimously approved and BLCU has officially become a member of the international institutions.

　　As the world’s top translation institutions of the joint organization, CIUTI enjoys a high reputation in the international translation field and the international language services. Joining the organization is a symbol of the international authoritative attestation in the construction of translation discipline in our country and the world’s institutions of higher learning. Application for membership in the organization is required to pass the preliminary qualification, self-assessment report review, expert field visits and CIUTI member assembly final vote, altogether four stages.
