Recently, the delegation of President Cui Xiliang of Beijing Language and Culture University was invited to visit George Mason University in the United States and attended the research work meeting of Confucius Institute.
At the meeting, President Cui Xiliang and Dean Mark Ginsberg discussed the future cooperation of BLCU and College of Education of George Mason University in Chinese language teacher training and establishment of sub centers of teacher training center of Confucius Institute in BLCU, and exchanged views on the joint development of postgraduate students, promoted the development of the “Chinese Cultural Treasure Box” and other projects and explored to include the teaching certificate into the joint training.
Established in 2009, George Mason Confucius Institute received many times recognition by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) in five years, carried out joint training of master education project with BLCU and submitted together to the headquarters to carry out teacher training and certification programs in Mason City. The BLCU delegation facilitated further cooperation between our school and Mason College of Education and promoted the further integration of advantage resources, which is of great significance.
