In the afternoon of 2 June, Li Xiangyu, the President of Macau Polytechnic University visited BLCU and held conversations with Secretary Li Yuming and President Cui Xiliang of BLCU.

　　President Cui Xiliang highly recognized the cooperation between two universities, appreciated the effort of Macau Polytechnic University to promote the cooperation between BLCU and Portuguese institution. As for the new areas of cooperation that Dean Lee had mentioned, President Cui put up new way of joint training such as the dual majors of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and Portuguese Language, accelerated degree programs etc.

　　President Li Xiangyu said, in response to the national strategy of “One Belt and One Road”, Macau Polytechnic University hoped to join hands with Beijing Language and Culture University to co-develop the local Chinese teachers and Portuguese and Chinese translators and support and promote the friendly cooperation between China and Portugal at the level of language and culture.
