On 31 May, the 8th world middle school Chinese competition “Chinese Bridge” Romania division qualifying contest was held successfully in Sibiu Astra library centennial auditorium. 22 players from Sibiu Romania Confucius Institute, Cluj Confucius Institute, Brasov Confucius Institute, Bucharest Confucius Institute, Constanta Confucius Classroom, Deva Confucius Classroom and Bucharest Lazear secondary school participated in the competition.

　　The theme of the contest is “Acquire Chinese, friends all over the world” and the contest was divided into 3 parts: topic speech, quiz and talent show.

　　After the fierce competition, Iunis Minculete and Stanese Sinziana Maria from Sibiu Confucius Institute eventually won the champion. The first place winners Balan Iustina and Andreea Maria Aldea also came from Sibiu Confucius Institute. Matei Cristina Valeria from Constanta Confucius Classroom and Stan Alexandra Georgiana from Confucius Classroom of the Deva secondary school of arts achieved the good results of the second prize.

　　Sibiu Confucius Institute was reelected the champion for four consecutive years and won the top four for three consecutive years. This fully demonstrates the importance of basic education of the Sibiu Confucius Institute.
