In the morning of 13th May, the Deputy Secretary Wang Luxin met with Mr. Vincenzo Rimo, the Vice President of the University of Reading in the reception room 906 of the Comprehensive Building. Both sides reviewed the progress of cooperation projects between the two universities and exchanged views on the feasibility of other project in-depth.
The Deputy Secretary Wang Luxin welcomed the Vice President Mr. Vincenzo Rimo and expressed his hope on further cooperation in the future. Mr. Vincenzo Rimo appreciated the warm welcome of BLCU and also expressed his hope to carry out multi-level cooperation with our university with the support of the Ministry of education. The two sides discussed the 2 + 2 joint training cooperation project of School of Information Science, cooperation projects in Art Institute, teachers exchange and Chinese curriculum project.
Founded in 1892 by the University of Oxford and received the royal authority in 1926, University of Reading is one of the UK’s key institutions of higher education. Our university signed a cooperation memorandum and the “4 + 1” project cooperation agreement in June 2011 with Reading University, and since then our university has altogether sent 17 students to the University of Reading.
