Recently, the inaugural issue of International Chinese Teaching Studies was officially published. The school party secretary Prof. Li Yuming, principal Prof. Cui Xiliang particularly wrote congratulatory articles and letters and hoped this magazine could be “a flag in professional development” and “a new platform for international Chinese teaching studies”. The famous scholar Lu Jianming and Lv Bisong also send congratulatory letters for this magazine and expressed their great expectations.

　　This magazine takes promoting the development of international Chinese teaching as its aim, and follows the fine traditions of building Chinese teaching as a second language. It advocated the learning style of being practical and realistic, and multi-industry and interdisciplinary ways of researching. It studied the theoretical problems and discussed practical problems in actual teaching process. That is to say, it studied the theories based on the actual Chinese teaching and learning process, constructing a platform for the study of the discipline, which lead to the development of international Chinese teaching.
