Reserve Training of Volunteer Chinese teachers Going to South Korea Started
On June 20th, the opening ceremony of 2013 Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters Reserve Training of Volunteer Chinese teachers Going to South Korea was held in Shaw Building Lecture Hall of BLCU.
President Cui Xiliang on behalf of the school in his speech expressed thanks for support and help of Hanban / Confucius Institute Headquarters, and gave warm welcome to those who came to BLCU to participate in the training. He hoped volunteer Chinese teachers can take social responsibility, have a feeling of historic mission and have professional skills; can live up to national trust, and make contribution to promote the cultural exchange and cooperation; can constantly improve themselves, strive for perfection and write a brilliant chapter in their life while performing their duties.
The training took the teaching methods of case teaching, practice teaching, task-based teaching, combining large lecture class model and small simulation, emphasizing on cultivating students’ self-learning ability and work ability. It meant to improve volunteers’ foreign language expertise, teaching skills, Chinese culture communication skills and intercultural competence through 56 days of intensive training, which would help them quickly adapt to the upcoming Korean life, well done the tasks of Chinese language teaching and dissemination of Chinese culture, and become excellent friendly exchanges folk messenger between China and South Korea.
