Seminar to Commemorate the “Cairo Declaration” for 70 Years was Hosted
On June 8th, Seminar to Commemorate the “Cairo Declaration” for 70 Years was hosted in BLCU. In the meeting, “Proclamation of Commemorating the “Cairo Declaration” for 70 Years was issued.
The late vice president of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and honorary chairman of China Policy Science Board and Parliamentary Committee on National Security Li Jinhua attended the opening ceremony and made an speech. He addressed that “Cairo Declaration” made it clear in law that Japan must give back the invaded territory of China, which offered international law basis for China to deal with the problem of territory after war. “It was very important for us to convene a meeting to discuss and issue the voice of China.”
Secretary of the BLCU Party Committee LI Mingyu said that it was of great significant to study the historical meaning and function of “Cairo Declaration”. It delivered the power of justice and the voice of peace.
The specialists and scholars who attended the conference discussed the significance of “Cairo Declaration” from different perspectives and around topics like “the force of international law and its great historical meaning” and “consolidate the fruits of victory of anti-Fascist war”.
